Danny
J. Wheeler
Danny Wheeler is a Managing Director of NextRidge Capital and oversees
day to day operations of the firm. He is responsible for sourcing and
evaluating deals, raising capital and managing investments and
investors. He brings to investors and the NextRidge companies strong
analytical, strategic, leadership and communication skills.
Prior to joining NextRidge
Capital in 2005, Mr. Wheeler was Managing Director and shareholder of CFO for
Hire, LLC. He was primarily responsible for formulation of strategies,
improvement of operating processes and recruitment of top talent. During his
tenure he also led the sales and marketing effort and the company increased its
revenues by 200%.
Prior to CFO for Hire, Mr.
Wheeler was a founding shareholder and Chief Financial Officer of Health
Solutions, Ltd a pharmacy benefit management company. He was part of the
executive team responsible for the company’s growth from a $29 million company
in 1992 to a $260 million in revenues in 2001. Danny also managed the company’s
investment in a health information management software company. Health
Solutions was sold in 2002 to a publicly traded competitor.
Prior to joining HSL, Danny
was an Associate with Kenneth Leventhal & Company, CPA’s, in Boston and Miami
(now part of Ernst & Young). His client engagements included due diligence of
loan portfolios, market analysis of commercial real estate, projection of
financial results on proposed real estate developments including offices, retail
space and hotels and golf courses and valuations of the same. Some of his
clients included Aetna and Bank of Boston.
Mr. Wheeler is a Certified
Public Accountant and a graduate of Cornell University. Mr. Wheeler serves as a
Director of the Northeast Chapter of the New York State Certified Public
Accountants and is a member and former director of the Tech Valley Chapter of
the Entrepreneurs Organization. He is also involved with a number of
not-for-profit organizations and serves as an advisor to several start-up
companies.
